100% Cashless Treatment Under Ayush Sector: 1st April' 2024

 There is a need for AYUSH treatments to be considered on a part with others, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has advised general and health insurers. AYUSH refers to Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicines.

Chief General Manager A. Ramana Rao said the regulator wanted the insurers to have a board approved policy on AYUSH coverage to enable policyholders to choose a treatment of their choice. 

It was being modified to include “expenses incurred for inpatient care treatment under Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy systems of medicines is covered up to 100% of sum insured, during each policy year as specified in the policy schedule.”
