Free Electricity For 10 Million Households, Pradhanmantri Suryoday Yojana:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 23, 2024 announced the initiation of the 'Pradhanmantri Suryoday Yojana,' aiming to provide free rooftop solar installations to 10 million households in the country. This will not only reduce the electricity bill of the poor and middle class, but will also make India self-reliant in the energy sector," he said. At present, only citizens in the below poverty line (BPL) category are eligible for the scheme.

A solar rooftop system only incurs initial capital investment and maintenance costs. Installation expenses typically range from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3.5 lakh for an average household requiring 3-5KW setup.

The government has set a target of 40 GW annual solar power generation for the next five years to reach a 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target by 2030. Cumulative installed capacity in the rooftop solar segment in the country has crossed 10 GW as of December 2023.

Reels vs. shorts: "The battle for power in the world of digital media".

Brands have the chance to create video clips with YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, which can be used to connect with viewers and increase brand awareness. While the fact that every platform has advantages of its own, the best method is to use the two to build an effective content strategy.

  • Thanks to YouTube Shorts' artificial marketing of Shorts material to users based on their interests, the platform can help grow its audience. The YouTube app's Shorts camera allows users to add text overlays, music, and filters to their videos. Thanks to their excellent clarity and frame rates, Shorts lets you make videos up to 60 seconds long that are of higher quality than Reels.

  • Instagram Reels can be cross-posted on Facebook, which makes it easy for companies to reach more people. Reels come with an extensive variety of options for editing videos, effects, and speed changes. It is also possible for many videos to make smooth changes. Videos up to 90 seconds in duration can be uploaded. As a result, the business has more time to give viewers value by clearly expressing the message and properly displaying its goods and services.

"Is AI (Artificial Intelligence) starting to replace humans?"

As they switch to AI, tech companies are cutting thousands of jobs.

Artificial intelligence sees significant investment from tech businesses, and some employees are already feeling the effects.

As it invests greatly in AI, SAP is the latest major company in the IT industry to lay off workers. This week, the German software company announced that it is spending over $2 billion on bringing AI into its business activities as part of a "transformation program." Moreover, the business announced on Tuesday that it intends to remake 8,000 jobs. While some employees may be trained again to work with AI, others will be laid off.

According to the corporation, it plans to have about the same number of employees at the end of the year as it does now. We are aware that firms made significant investments in generative AI in 2023," he said . It means that they may be firing employees and that they have chosen to invest less in particular jobs. However, it also proves that AI is a factor in the roles they are hiring for. Not that jobs are replaced by AI, either.

According to Netzer, businesses are only carrying out their regular practices, which involve employing more employees with expertise in quickly growing industries and firing individuals whose talents may be less valuable or don't directly contribute to revenue development. For instance, he stated that Microsoft may choose to reduce the amount of computer hardware it produces, such as keyboards, as it makes investments in AI.
